Im confused why the few CM fans here rally around the idea that those are just their retail prices. Not to split hairs here, but that's exactly the point. If you can 'get it down to $8k' then yes, them posting a $100k msrp price tag is them being douchebags. Every manufacturer plays that same msrp shell game... but CM raises the bar. Substantially. So to answer the original question, yes CM is just fucking around to make their products look that much better based on the notion of price = quality. And before you CMass fans even say it, this is not a knock on CM's quality in any way. Only their pricing scheme, and marketing plan. Its silly a company that makes such quality products then turns around and attempts to feed them to the ignorant. CM really has an odd business plan in that regard. Even if those prices are inflated merely for marketing, how can we trust their 'real' prices aren't still over inflated? You could argue if you dont want the quality, then dont pay the price. Fair enough. but you cannot also argue that with quality must come the price. We've already established CMass will bullshit us in regard to cost/price. So we start referring to used prices with respect to being able to find the products 'reasonable'. That pretty much just shows the original purchaser is the one who will 'take it on the chin' when it comes to price versus value, unless he never resells the piece used. Really makes me want to run right out and buy something from CMass...
