I made one with the exact specs of a ported enclosure I was using and it made very little difference. It was 3 cubes tuned to 30 and 57 and both of those points looked correct from cone excursion. It also had the same amount of port area as the 3 cubes @ 29 enclosure I was using.The only thing I noticed was more cone control. There was no audible difference to the ear at the higher tuning.I would only use a design like this if you were tuning around 20hz and using a low excursion driver. The reason behind it would be to limit cone movement between 20-40hz.</blockquote>
