I am absolute noob when it comes to car stereos, and I am hoping for some advise. I have 2007 audi a3 with concert II stereo and bluetooth phone preparation, which unfortunately does not support a2dp, but only hands free. I have a phone (cingular Tilt), which does support both hands free and a2dp. What I want to do is to add a device to my car stereo that woudl support a2dp. I am having problems finding proper device that would allow me to do so. Some prerequisits: Buying another head unit is not a question: -Car is leased, dont want to spend too much money. -I like the hands free + voice command + steering wheel integration that factory blutooth has for phone integration Concert II does not have aux plug in the front, so I cant use cigarette lighter bluetooth plugin (neither do I want to, because I am looking for more of an integrated solution) I want to locate some device that I can plug in the back of my head unit, and hide in glove compartment, that would allow me to stream music from my phone into car stereo. My phone handles the switching between phone/music by itself, so no worries there. The way I see it working, is my phone syncs to two bluetooth devices simultaneously (one for phone integration, and another for a2dp). Music is streamed over the a2dp device. when phone call comes in, my phone stops playing the music, and hands free bluetooth device kicks in for phone conversation. I would really appreciate if someone can give some advice on this: a. Will this setup work at all? b. Can someone suggest a device that I can buy that would do the a2dp AND work with my cars headunit. (it seems like such a simple thing: I am surprised I cant locate one!). Obviously the hope is that power is somehow provided for that device, and I can hide it in the glove compartment. Any advice is welcome! Thank you in advance. PS. I provided a drawing of what I want it to do, if it is at all helpful.
