I am currently up in the air over a couple different setups and was wondering what everyone's input would be on these. I am set on using 12' Kicker Comp 05CVR122 2 ohm 400W RMS speakers but the rest can be changed. So far I have only purchased one of those speakers. I have pretty much figured out what fits in my budget and these are my options. I am planning this in a 2.4 cubic foot custom enclosure for 3rd gen f-bodies. Option 1: single 05CVR122 in a ported box wired for 4 ohms powered off a Rockford Fosgate Punch P4002 bridged to 400w @ 4ohms RMS, perfectly matching power for the single speaker. Option 2: dual 05CVR122s at 2ohms in a sealed box powered by a Profile AP2000 putting out 480W per channel at 2 ohms. Option 3 would be single sealed 05CVR122 using the Fosgate setup and Option 4 would be a dual vented setup off the profile. These are color coded to the Win ISD graph I made up based off a 2.4 cubic foot enclosure tuned to 26hz on the ported boxes. Looking at this graph based on the space I have available I am leaning toward the single ported with the higher quality amp. I'm not looking to make something super loud to wake up the neighborhood but something that I can enjoy listening to. I listen to all kinds of music and the frequency range is rather important to me even if it starts approaching sub-sonic. I am just concerned that once I get the single sub in it might not be loud enough for me.
