Alpine has recently been shown the light that there is a problem with the 9855 and the 9853. Had 2 different customers buy our last 2  and both were back with in 3 days with your described problem. Swaped in 9853 untill we could get some more 9855's in (sold out). Within in a couple of days they too did the same thing. Called Alpine on the issue, the spoke with there techs, and verfied there was a problem. Alpine had us send our entire stock of 9855 and 9853 into them and has since sent us the new "updated" 9855 and 9853. this all transpired as of last week and we are still waiting on the replacements.Just first hand info.</blockquote>
