[QUOTE="CentralFC, post: 6874830, member: 623600"] Okay, so about three months ago I had two Pioneer 6x9's installed in my Grand Am, along with a new Pioneer Premier head unit. Now, I'm adding new subs and an amp, except I'm a bit lost. I've done a lot of research, but most of the information I've gathered is opinion, and when it comes down to it, that typically won't benefit someone in the long run. First, if anyone has any ideas on what brand of a sub, with what power, would sound good in a car like that, let me know. I'm confused with the 2 ohms and 4 ohms too, so if you could help explaining that, I'm sure it'd help. Otherwise I was looking at this "Kenwood 12" 4-Ohm Single-Voice Coil" (400 watt RMS, 1200 watt peak, 86 dB). It's gotten good reviews and I've heard Kenwood is reliable. I also was interested in this "Infinity Reference 1260w 12"" (300 watt RMS, 1200 watt peak, 93 dB). Like I said, I have no clue on how to differentiate from what is good, or may not be good. I also can't tell what would sound good in my car and might not, so I thought I'd come here. I'm not interested in just going to some random store and picking up a random sub, I'd like some definitive opinions from knowledgeable people. Thanks in advance. * By the way, my "objective" my help out. I want deep bass that hits hard, but not something over the top. I want to be noticed in a parking lot. Clarity is huge too, so anything that'll sound clear with a deep hit I'm good with. I just don't want anything professional, if it makes since. I'm not going to any competitions any time soon.
