8's that will hit as hard as my 15L7

I think I want to go with 8s for my car. Would i need a lot of them to be able to compare to my last sub (15L7)? I read somewhere that 8s have gotton easily as deep as bigger subs but i dont know how true that is? Which 8s should i consider?

I liked my 4 Assassin 8's better than my 12" L7.. They were equally as loud, possibly louder. The 8's were a better overall setup imo. If you want SQ, with the ability to get loud.. Ascendant Audio 8's and SoundSplinter rl-i come to mind.If you're just looking to get loud with 8's I'd try Digital Designs 1008s/1508s or Audioque 8's.
