I used the have the pioneer 6x9 speakers that you were talking about until I blew one of them (don't let people play with your radio knobs) The sound pretty accurate and they are pretty clean without an amp but they still have the potential to amped too. The really don't get crazy loud but they are decent. I bought them since I was looking for a rear fill that wouldn't sound out of place and they really do they trick.
