I have 6 MTX 5500 10s they are 12 ohm SVC. with all of them wired correctly the ohm load is 2 ohms. Well long story short one of these subs blew they other day and i replaced it with a mtx 5500 10" that was identical but was obviously a slight model newer or so because it was Dual 4 ohm instead of 12 ohm SVC like i needed it to be. I only wired one voice coil for now on it because i didnt want to blow anything or have some crazy ohm load. so i guess im asking you guys to be my DMM reader for a second because i dont have one around. i need to know whats the ohm load of 5 SVC 12 ohm subs and 1 DVC 4 ohm sub with 1 voice coil wired.. ..does this screw up the ohm load to something crazy or should i just unhook the 6th one and wire them the 5 to 2.4ohms? btw im running a directed 600d at the moment until i can afford a bigger amp.. thanks guys fyi: 6 SVC 12ohm subs = 2 ohms 5 SVC 12ohm subs = 2.4 ohms
