Drilled out the vertical metal part from underneath the frame then sound deadend everything. I built the box but it was my first box and I made it about three cubic feet. And aeroported it. I went skar EVL 6.5s. So after getting everything put in I didn't have enough space to have them going all across the front and I tried to put two in a side which canceled out a lot of my sound. So then I decided to go with a much smaller box. Built box number 2 with two sealed chambers and wired it to 1.5 ohms three subs in each side. I gave it a 2000.1 skar amp and it bangs.... Like there's no way this bass is coming from 6.5s bang. if it's too late for you already then I apologize but definitely if you haven't moved forward I recommend getting 6.5s. all that punchy bass this and that...I don't hear it. Tight, accurate, and his all the way up and down the spectrum sound . This is smooth clean whamming even at 30 hertz. I added a audio control DSP to do some leveling and a cheap soundstream to add back in the bass to the signal and the sound hits. Facts. You will be able to get more subwoofers in the space by going smaller than trying to go bigger. And you will probably have to go down firing to get the most out of that setup but if anyone is curious this is THE WAY to go. To keep your trucks usable and space is the premium. Go sealed and get as many subwoofers as you can inside the area versus getting half or less the amount of subs in that area to go ported. These things are piranhas. [QUOTE="LowKeyP, post: 8710210, member: 680438"] Soooooooo, I found myself in the same dilemma which is why I'm giving feedback even though the last reply was months ago. I got a 2015 Dodge ram crew cab. You are correct You can put (6) 6.5 and I ended up doing just that. But I deleted the under seat storage. I drilled out the vertical part undern area completely . Drilled out the vertical metal part from underneath the frame then sound deadend everything. I built the box but it was my first box and I made it about three cubic feet. And aeroported it.
