I'm in the process of upgrading the system. I'm planning on purchasing JL Audio 10w1v2 but not sure as to buy either the 4 ohm or 8 ohm version. My equipments are: 1. Boston Acoustic SL 60 component for Front (4ohm) 2. Boston Acoustic FX-6H coaxial for Rear (4ohm) 3. JL Audio 300/4 amp (1.5 to 8 ohm stable 4. 4ga amp kit from Knukonceptz 5. Alpine CTA 1505 (22Wx4RMS) head unit 6. Alpine CD changer 7. Bunch of Edead deadner I plan to hook up the front JL Audio amp to the BA components. Run the rear FX-6H from the Alpine headunit. Bridge the rear channel of JL Audio Amp to the 10" sub in the stock location. Ideally, I know you're suppose to run 4ohm through out which means 8ohm sub with bridged amp will be 4ohm load. BUT I may decide to upgrade in the future by buying another sub amp (i.e. 250/1) which then 4ohm sub will be better. The specific questions I have are: 1. If I buy 4ohm, how much would that limit the front channel? Would I hear any difference? 2. If I buy 8 ohm, how that would sound if I decide to upgrade? I may not upgrade (=spend more money) if this initial setup is decent. Any advice is appreciated.
