I was wondering if bridging a 4-channel amplifier to 2-channels at 4ohms is going to cause any noticeable distortion or overheating problems. I've been looking at the PPI P900.4 to drive my JBL C608GTI MKII component system. I know it's a little overpowered but I've heard these JBL's can take some serious wattage. Should I get the P900.4 and bridge or should I get a good 2-channel to drive them? The two channel I have been looking at is a Lanzar OPTI700X2 (yes Lanzar is mostly crap but the Optidrive serious is very high quality as far as amps go).
