[QUOTE="dirtidan, post: 5210320, member: 603795"] hi! so i wanted some advice on speaker placement for a 3 way component system. this is what i wanted to do let me know if you have a better idea. first of the car i am fixing up is a toyota yaris lift back. although the car is very small the dashboard is quite deep. i would say 1.5 to 2 feet deep. so anyways this is the plan. i will first install the 6.5 midbass in the stock speaker location. then i wanted to fabricate a fiberglass pillar to house the 4" midrange and tweeter. they would be both pointing inwards and upwards. pointing towards the ceiling like where a sunroof would be. do you guys think this is a good location? oh yah side question is it better to place foam or some kind of deadening behind the speaker if i do it this way? what is the best thing to put there for best sound?
