3" cds

This is probably going to be an incredibly stupid question, being as I know nothing about car audio, but I thought that this would be the place to ask, so here goes:

will a 3" cd (mini-cd) play in your average car cd player?

I burn a lot of these for sharing just a couple of songs, and it's always been tempting to try, but couldn't get over the possible consequences.

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

they worked in my car CD player...it's a pioneer HU that's a couple years old. Also, they worked in my friend's stock CD player in his car. What kind of HU do u have? peace

I just bought a 2002 Honda Civic, so it's just the stock 'AM/FM/CD Audio System with 4 Speakers and Clock'. Haven't had a chance to get anything else in there.

Also, is there any harm in trying? Will it still spit the thing out, or is there the possibility of it getting stuck in there?

well, you could go ahead and try...i would suggest NOT to force it in there though. That is what i did with mine...make sure u have it to where it looks like it's centered then lightly push it in. If the CD player takes it on it's own, it should work...even if it won't play as long as it isn't jammed in there it should eject fine. peace

also, if u car is new and still under warranty then u have nothing to worry about. peace

I just thought that I would mention that I tried it, and it worked just fine!! I really almost didn't think that it would, but hoped for the best and have tried several so far and haven't had a problem.

Thanks for your help, and if anyone else is a 80cm cd fan like i am, give it a shot...

yeah, they work on mine and i used to use them when i didn't have enough songs for a full CD...BUT, full 80 minute CD's are cheaper then the 3" kind. So, there's no point...but if prices ever go down on them i'll be buying some more. peace
