I'd make sure your Big 3 is done before you wire up that second battery, your stock alt is going to have a hard time charging two batteries anyway, without the Big 3 done your just going to make it harder and see less results. I have a Yellow Top in front and a kinetik 2400 in the rear, had the kinetik ground to the body in the rear as well as the big 3 done and didn't have any issues, so I thought. Once I added another run of 0 gauge from the front (-) to the rear battery (-) I noticed less voltage drop when the sub was hitting. So yeah, you could be cheap and use one run of 0 ga for your power and just ground both batts to the body, but you'll get more from your system with (+) and (-) runs from the front to the rear. For anyone that competes, you ever notice the real Street class cars? Notice how they run 8 or more runs of (+) and (-) from the front to the rear? There is a reason for this, and it's not just to waste money on wire. Of course that many in a daily driver is a bit much, but the reasons behind it still work.
