I recently bought a 2025 Toyota Sequoia and can’t get Wireless CarPlay to connect with my iPhone. Here’s what’s happening: •I get a “connection error” every time I try to use Wireless CarPlay.

CarPlay works if I plug in with a data cable.
My wife’s iPhone connects wirelessly to the Sequoia with no problem.
My iPhone works fine with Wireless CarPlay in other vehicles.
Bluetooth connects for phone calls and media—just not CarPlay.
I’ve tried “forget device” on both my phone and the Sequoia, reset network settings, and restarted everything.
Toyota service couldn’t figure it out.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Could this be a software/firmware issue with my phone or the Sequoia’s head unit? If you want, I can also tweak this for a more technical crowd so it encourages people to suggest troubleshooting steps rather than general advice. Would you like me to make that version?
