Once the amplifiers and wiring got straightened out, and the door sound deadening was removed, and ResoNix Squares and CCF7 were installed into the doors and rear deck, we moved on to fabricating the A-Pillars to house the Hertz Mille midranges. An acrylic baffle was fabricated and fiberglassed into the OEM pillar with a slight angle and design, and a laser-cut grill to match it was designed and made. The pillar was then primed to help identify any areas that still need sanding to achieve a perfect finish Once ready for upholstery, the A-Pillars were wrapped in an OEM matching vinyl, the drivers were installed with stainless machine screws, grill installed, and tweeters installed into the OEM sail panels. The reason we went with the Audiofrog GB10 tweeters is because of their provided install hardware. The previous installer lazily installed the Hertz Mille tweeters without any trim ring, and you saw raw plastic around the diameter of the tweeter (which is not covered by the GB10's black trim ring. We were going to fabricate something to cover this, but it turned out just swapping tweeters was a more straightforward and cheaper method, with the bonus of having better tweeters :) The subwoofer enclosure was the last piece to the puzzle.
