I have tried different ground points not helped. I also retraced the speaker wire extensions (16 gauge speaker wire). from the HU for shorts or loose connections . I am stumped. This makes absolutely no sense to me. Is there some weird stuff going on with this 2014 HU? RICK.
I have the uconnect5 with 6 speaker.I have upgraded the speakers to polk audio 6.5 comps in front and polk 6X9 in rear doors and a sub box with 2 10" kickers under the back seat . I am having a problem with my JBL amp . The amp is mounted under the drivers seat and I ran my extension wires from behind the HU . The problem is, with the amp hooked up, I am only getting signal to one of the JBL speaker wire to RCA adapters on the input side(right front). I moved the good signal RCA around to the other input jacks on the amp, and the corresponding speaker will play. I disconnected the RCA's from the amp and hooked up a speaker to each amp input wire(output from HU) and only the front right speaker would play. When I take the amp out of the system and reconnect the speakers, they all play fine . What could be causing this problem? Could it be the stock speaker wiring? I have tried different ground points not helped. I also retraced the speaker wire extensions (16 gauge speaker wire). from the HU for shorts or loose connections . I am stumped. This makes absolutely no sense to me. Is there some weird stuff going on with this 2014 HU? RICK.
