Hey guys, new to this forum (obviously) and I need a little bit of help. I have a 2009 Ford Escape XLT with sync and sat radio. I do not have the factory amp and sub. I had a 2002 Escape before this and had 2 JL 12W3V3's and a JL 500/1 amp and an Alpine CDA-9887 head unit. I did the install myself on the old escape and feel comfortable running power wires and finding a good ground for the new install. My question is this, I was to keep the stock radio. There is a small screen on the top of the dash that I want to keep functional and I want to keep sync. I have the JL speaker wire to RCA cable already but was thinking about using this LOC ( http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_11265_P.I.E.+EIS-LOC-T.html ) The reason I am hesitant to use the original JL cable is because I have no clue where to tap into to get a switched 12v signal. The LOC I showed you apparently has a remote trigger. Will that actually work? Could I find the switched 12v signal from the back of the factory radio and tap that? Or do I need to find another source. If anyone has a wiring diagram for an 09 escape that would be awesome. Thanks in advance, Steve
