[QUOTE="RJPantaleo, post: 6219967, member: 613502"] so i removed the factory radio, installed my alpine cda-9857. everything went smooth. hooked up the ipod cable. turned it on, then i noticed something. no sound. i dont think the wiring harnesses are defective, because everything seems to work, except the sound. dimmer, memory, everything, all works. and before making all the connections, i checked all the wires to make sure none were loose or anything like that, and triple checked that all the colors matched up. one thing i am curious about, there were two connections to the back of the factory stereo. one was the normal one, and one was a smaller one. i disregarded the smaller one, and am now wondering if that is the amp or something. and if it is necessary to connect, where does it go and how does it integrate into the aftermarket system? OR, since i already have my amps and everything, an alpine 4 channel and a rockford 2 channel for my subs, where would be best to mount the 4 channel? no room under the seats, and not really any flat places to mount it in the cargo area. im mainly looking for an answer to the first part, as i can find some suggestions for the second part with some searching around. any who, thanks in advance.
