Message: <blockquote data-quote="DidUHearThat?" data-source="post: 4899204" data-attributes="member: 594758">If your running 7kw, you shouldn't be messing with 4 gauge at all.  It's not worth it.   You will need to fuse the 4 gauges at their ratings (150 amp) each.  That's an *** load of fuses.  Sell the 4 gauge and get yourself more 0 guage or even 2/0 gauge welding wire.  Super heavy stuff.  Rarely seen and a pain in the *** to bend or crip onto terminals.  Multiple runs of 0 gauge are easier to find and work with.Don't do lead acid inside.  The gases can eat thru steel, and are poisonous.  They will ruin your amp, your car and your lungs.  When I say ruin, I mean burn a 2 inch whole straight thru.</blockquote>
