[QUOTE="Str8Up, post: 588151, member: 557553"] Hi peoplez, I'm really leaning towards getting some custom work done to my car. I'm wanting to have my 6x9 cutouts enlarged to fit a dual 10" ported setup. I got a quote for everything, and it's reasonable, so I'll probably go through with it. I just need some help picking my subs. I listen to R&B and hip-hop, and I'm DEFINATELY an "SQ MAN". But at the same time I like to be able to crank the volume every now and then. So far I've decided on 2 Image Dynamics IDMAX 10's. I can only fit 10's or smaller in my reardeck. Although I wish I could fit 12's, I feel 10's are very good at being crisp, and reproducing high bass notes upto around 100hz or so very well. I like midbass. But my concern is Low Bass performance. Given the ID Max's high linear excursion capabilities and the low tuning of 25hz that ID recommends, do you think I'll get some decent low bass response as well? I like my music accurate and loud. And given the reviews I've read of them, and their xmax to cone area ratio, I think I made a good choice. BUT, what do YOU think? These 'seem' to be pretty much the loudest accurate tens around, or atleast near the top of the list. I'm very open to suggestions. I like loudness, but loudness shouldn't be TOO much of a concern since they'll be in the cabin with the bass hitting off the rear window (ported too), so I guess I'm more interested in accuracy. Will my choice fit my taste? Do you have a better suggestion? My price range is $300 per sub, and my power is a Hifonics 1500D. All opinions/suggestion are appreciated. Thanx!
