Hm i would think 12 would be the bare minimum, but how much power you have going to them?And on a side note, i saw a f150 ext cab with 2x solo X 18s..box looked plenty big..if u make it a wedge then u get more space than a wall..as in go big at the bottom and small at the top to go along the angle of your seats. Also..a sierra or full sized truck hsa more ext cab space than most..I have a ext cab colorado and i can fit a 12 ish cube box in there without going to the window line...i can prob do 14 before any displacements if i really wanted to and 12 shuld work fine for solo x 18s even tho theyd like 8-10 better a peice.also if u decide to get rid of them, Nightshades perform excellent in smaller enclosures than other 18s. U can get by with a 18 nightshade in 4 cubes or so. Just some food for thought</blockquote>
