My first was a w312 in a JL power wedge, this was when i was younger and i pushed it many times until i could hear it barking. Never gave up and i still have it. All my JLs were pushed by crossfire CFA 1000Ds, the two tens at one ohm, the one 12 was at 2 ohms. My 10 in my truck is ran off a little crossfire TEK50x2 bridged at 4 ohms. It sounds good but it could use some more power. Personally i think you would be better off buying an amp that is larger than you need just for the headroom and just be smart about how hard you push them. Just becuase you have 8000W available to use, dont mean you have to use it. Good luck and keep us posted on how you truck sounds, whatever you decide to do.

[QUOTE="jstutzman, post: 6282484, member: 613809"] Personally i have those exact subs and love them, i have 2 of them in .75 ft3 sealed boxes. If you have to buy the subs, i think you could find some others that will sound very nice for half the cost, but personally i really like them. Many talk up the dayton subs, and the phoenix gold rsd subs. I have had a lot of JL subs and have always liked them.
