I have 4 gauge power wire running directly from the battery (with an inline fuse of course) that goes all the way to my trunk were it goes into the capacitor then goes into the amp. Then I have the amp grounded. And then the capacitor grounded seperatley from the amp. When I go to charge the capacitor I place the 1k resistor on the power wire and on the capacitors positive terminal. I also have a voltmeter monitoring the voltage as I charge it and it will get to .5 of a volt and stop charging. So what is the problem? Is my ground not sufficient?
