Hello all, I'm not sure if I'm overthinking this or what, however I rather be safe than sorry. I currently have 2 massive audio hippoxl122r 2 ohm dvc subs(3,000w rms, 6,000 peak ea) and am currently in search of the best amp to achieve maximum potential without blowing subs or putting amp into protect mode. The electrical system is a 270a Brand X alternator(2014 kia soul ! 2.0L engine), cyber12k Lithium limitless battery, 0 guage welding cable. At the moment, I'm considering the Taramps Md12000.1 .5 ohm single channel amp. I hope to run them at either a .5 ohm or 2 ohm. I'm concerned however that this may be too much power, but then I consider box rise. Please give advice. Thanks in advance.
