Why are you so set on haveing the sub down firing? I tried down firing once in my blazer and it sucked. Why not have the subs fire to the rear hatch or towards the back of the rear seats, it sounds much better that way. Trust me I've tried it all, I've drivin 2dr blazers since 1996 and have gone through a ton of installs in them?? I would remove the current spare tire and use that metal tubing as an amp rack. Then purchase a small dougnut spare tire that will sit to the right of the box in that 8" wide gap between the right side of the box and the rear right side window. That's what I did in my setup, the small spare tire was removed for this pic.... If you remove the large orginal spare tire you have 36" width to work with between the fender wels. The above box is 36" wide x 26" deep x 14" tall. It's 5 cubes @ 34hz with a 6" wide 20" long straight port.
