Ok, so me and my friend went into best buy for the casual feel good about ourselves. My friend has 2 Type-Rs powered by an MRP-M1000. So coincidentally, a "friend" that goes to my school is working and we slip into our convo what he has. The bby guy smirks and says "meh, not that good of an amp, but if you had two MRP-M500's running 1 to each sub, now that would be sweet." Okay, so I'm not an audio pro or anything but it was rough to keep a straight face. I couldn't think of a single positive to running 2 amps when 2xMRP-M500s=1xMRP-M1000. You'd need more wire... and setting each amp identically would be hard. Give me your opinions, granted he works at bby, that just seems plain retarded. Edit* should've put this in the amp section, and micah, answer my question is there any better benefit to run with 2 amps rather than 1 that will do the same power as the 2 smaller ones?
