2 amps or 1 big amp for subs?

I want to buy my amplifier right now for my 2 RF Power Hx2 dual 2 ohm voice coil, 1000rms, 2000w peak, should I buy 2 1000w amps or 1 2000+ amp?

If you run one amp to the subs the amp will have to put out 2000 watts at 2 ohms remember because youll have to wire the 2 d2's to 2 or .5 ohms, or you can opt for 2 1000 watt amps @1ohm, but that will more then likely draw more current then the 1.
