[QUOTE="Zach Lawson, post: 8878237, member: 691645"] I have 2 1200watt skar audio subs. My buddy miswired them I believe when first installed and wired just a (+,-) from each subwoofer(4ohm) and ran it to the amp. It was played a total of an hour max closer to 45 min of actual play time. I wired them now correctly I believe 4ohm to a 1 ohm load. Now I have the gain barely up and the subs sound great until during some songs it sounds like voice coil rubbing maybe ( that’s the closest thing I can say they sound like but only if I turn the subs up to a certain point. I bought them a week ago and can return them. I’m new to this and trying to learn any tips greatly appreciated. I couldn’t run all positives and negatives touching because the enclosure is separated. specs : [HEADING=2]•Skar Audio RP-1200.1D Monoblock Class D MOSFET Amplifier[/HEADING] [HEADING=2]•(2) Skar Audio SDR-12 D4 12" 1200W Max Power Dual 4 Ohm[/HEADING] • 4 gauge skar audio power and ground wire & 16 gauge speaker wire [/QUOTE]
