Just about any size speaker will play a 20hz note, or even a 1hz note. But I bet you can't get an 8 to match an 18's output on the low end, unless you stack the deck in favor of the 8 with power, install or enclosure etc. All other things being equal, you cannot even compare the low end output of an 18 to an 8.Like spkrman said, 9-10 cu ft simply is not enough room for a pair of 18's ported... none that I can think of anyway.
