OK, now onto the specs. I need someone to help me with the design. I want it to be 10" tall, it can be as long as 26" wide (left to right), and can be 18" (front to back).
Guys, I need some help. This is my first system and I want to build my own box. I know it would be easier if I just bought a prefab, but I want the ultimate performance from my sub. Alright, the sub is an ED 16Ov.2. I want to build it a 1.5cf sealed enclosure to make its permanent home in. I do not understand anything about sub displacement in the box, all I know is that the 16Ov.2 sub goes 8.5" deep and 7" wide in the box. Do I want a box that is 1.5cf before displacement or after? The ED website just says ideal is 1.5cf. Also, I want the sub to fire upwards because that is the only way it will fit. Will firing upwards sound as good as firing towards the back? OK, now onto the specs. I need someone to help me with the design. I want it to be 10" tall, it can be as long as 26" wide (left to right), and can be 18" (front to back). Can someone draw up some specs that will give me 1.5cf? Thanks for all the help.
