If this is the type of education that audio engineering courses are providing, its no wonder our country is in a world of hurt. Why waste the money if you don't even use proper spelling, punctuation or grammar? An employer won't take you seriously if you write like that. What do you make out of a sawtooth pattern sine wave, smartass? That would represent some of the even harmonic Distortion you get from an electric guitar rig or overdriven tube amp. Why tube amp? The type of distortion they make is even harmonic and is "pleasing" to the ear compared to a square wave, clipped signal. This type of distortion is a deviation from the original signal. Its not reproducing the original material, but is still deemed "pleasing" to the ear by audiophiles because the noise adds harmonics to the original material, whether you are conscious of it or not. Even a high end pair of studio monitors can't compare to a high end set of studio headphones. The headphones take out any room reverb or gain you would have reproducing music in a studio environment, regardless of the amount of sound dampening. I write and record electric guitar music (as a hobby), so I have a pretty fundamental experience with achieving distortion free reproduction in the right enviroment....
