So ill start off by saying i got my hands on one of sundowns new SA-12s v2 1000rms subs at a good price brand new, and had a buddy with an old sundown amp sundown saz-1000d that is rated for 1000 rms however i think he ran it pretty hard not sure if that has anything to do with it or if this sub just likes to eat, but it is begging for more power, i have the gain def ALOT higher than id like and still on bass heavy songs if i have the volume loud(hiphop head that likes it loud) its cutting out and im def not turning it crazy loud or anything no bass boost on my radio etc, i talked to an installer that i work with and he said that amp just isnt giving it the power it needs. ive also done some research and these things can def take alot more than 1000rms. all that leads to im getting a new amp from skar and was wondering if i should just get the 1500 watt amp https://www.skaraudio.com/products/rp-1500-1d-car-amplifier or would it be worth it to snag the 2000 watt amp https://www.skaraudio.com/products/rp-2000-1d-car-amplifier and have some room to play and just maybe not set the gain crazy high with id wanna push this thing but def dont wanna blow it right away, and the diff in money doesnt matter between the two its not that much. i am brand new to this and dont know much about any of it so advice would be awesome. thanks guys -BenZi
