My buddy wants to get a 12 that blends good in a smallish ported box, but can still spank out some lows when called upon. He's previous experience with subs consists of a couple kicker cvrs in a box with a ton of port area that were pretty loud for what they were. Is there anything newer I should take a look at in the $250 range new or used in good condition? He has a directed 1200d amp, but is willing to get a new one to match the sub if it can handle more power. I was thinking a BL, but wanted some opinions first. Did ascendant audio ever get things running again, I googled it and did a forum search and nothing turned up. A 12" havoc would be ideal.</p></blockquote><p></p>
