The woofer retails for about $225 there rated at 500 watts rms and they come in dual 2 ohm models. They have the lifted surround which im kind of fond of, and a 3" voice coil, the magnet is hefty i think its like 150oz im not sure, but its a decent size. Theres a little mesh grill from the motor to the actual bucket, were you can see the actual coil, not that has anything to do with anything but i personally like it....well we put 2 12"s inside a box thats tuned to about 45hz and is about 1.8 cubic ft per chamber....i have them wired at 2 ohms for daily driving. There wired to a dx1500.1 one of elevations old amps thats rated at 1500 @ 1 ohm, 1200 @ 2 ohms, 800@ 4 ohms, well when wired @ 2 ohms we got a 144.7 in the kick. Which was decent the box was just thrown together by my buddy, when ever i take everything out im going to resin it clean it up probally paint it or something make it look all fancy so when i get a suv the box will be all purdy not to mention decently loud for a daily. Well after running it @ 2 ohm we wired the amp down to half an ohm then re-adjusted the amp, did a second burp and we got a 146.3. Not bad and the subs seemed fine. After running the second test we tested the speaker wire to see what load we were running, and for some reason it was reading 1 ohm, not sure why...but then thats still not bad considering the sub is rated at 500 watts rms, and not to mention its putting up some pretty decent number's...
