I have run into a slight problem with my recent install. I installed my 12Disc in my center console. From the front of the truck to the back it fits very snug. From side to side there is about a 1 inch gap on the one side and about a 3inch gap on the other side. When I go around hard turns, or if the music is up, the thing skips like a sob. Even if I lay my arm down too hard on the center console it does it. Would it be safe to place a layer of sound dampening mat around the drive and then stuff the console with v4(teklite)? Would I have to worry about it overheating, or should it be fine? One last thing. I comletely sound dampened my entire truck, yet there is still a slight hint of rattling on the outside. I've narrowed it down to the back of the cab. I've only placed one layer of mat back there, should I tear everything out again and lay a second or third layer? I'm thinking the obvious answer is yes, but I just wanted to make sure before I go through the hassle of removing my back seat again to gain access to the back of the cab. The bolts are a PITA to get out due to the very cramped and limited space I have to work with.
