Hey guys, I just had 1 15" kicker comp vr installed in my car with a sony xplod 1000 watt amplifier. The ford explorer had the factory subwoofer jbl system so the shop bypassed that with a little box and I think that they somehow tapped into the wires and ran RCA cables to the amp. So they are not true RCA cables. I am also running the stock headunit which is why they had to tap into a wire for the remote also. heres my problem, the sub works, but it does not hit hard at all. Its just a little bit better than the factory system and thats when the radio is turned up really loud. You can feel it, but nothing like the car it was in before with the same amp and same subwoofer. What is it that could be wrong. Did they mess up the wiring. Could the amp be bad? Do I NEED a custom headunit? Please help, I reallly want music!! The shop is so stupid and they told me they dont know whats up and Im like if I buy a new headunit and a new amp will it work and they said maybe. I dont understand this. What the hell is going on, they are taking me in circles and wasting all my money. They also said that if they use the factory little amp, somehow they could use that to make it sound a little better MAYBE!! Mike
