'01 VW Passat Sound System Ideas?

I have an '01 VW Passat (not that the type of car really matters (completely)) With an Alpine CDA-9815. I was wondering what kind of subwoofer/amplifier combination I should get. $1000 at most, but I'm semi-flexible, but I want the cheapest I can. I want something that can give really loud, clear, and strong bass. I would really want a dual 12", 13", or 15" combo, though.

And another note, XM or Sirius? (Yes, I know that this will probably start a war, but I wanna hear some real opinions)

i would get two L7 12's ported with like a Orion amp... the L7's will sound nice

You may consider a pair of e12a and a Brutus BX1500D

I'll look into those two ideas, I'm also looking at two 13W7's, but if I were to get those, I don't know what amp to get. I doubt I'll get those, but still, one can dream, eh'?

And on that Sattelite Radio question, any thoughts?

Why don't you get a pair of magnum 12" D2. They are supposed to be real loud and crisp. Then you would have to find an amp that can do about 1500 or so at 2ohm. Something Like a rockford 1501D. That would slam hard.

A lot of people have these woofers and I haven't seen any complaints about them. I know that rangerman has a pair I believe. He loves them.

Thanks a lot for the help. I'll look into those Magnum D2's. My friend told me to get some of those F&F subs from Rockford (HE2's, I think, but I'm not sure, so don't take my word for it) Which are 800W. (I hate anything to do with Fast and the Furious, so I'm kind of iffy about the whole thing)

Dude, don't get those. I heard them before at bestbuy. They didn't sound too good.
