Yes this is correct So I should go with parallel because it puts less stress on the amp, and run the amp bridged mono ? Or just run one sub wired in series ? I just need it to play music and be dependable until I get some money for a new system.

?? I do not have them hooked up mono, they are both plugged in separately in the amp...both boxes have the positive and negative going to the 4 positives and negatives on the amp so all the speaker wire amp ports are used.

2 subs both have in separate boxes...so 4 speaker wires total going to the sub...should I hook it up mono ? I know the amp is weak but my other system was jacked and wont have money for a new one for a while. these are the speakers...

the subs have 4 speaker ports...2 red and 2 black. I had them hooked up where the both of each color where connected... Red -> Red -> Amp black -> Black -> Amp My amp can handle them for a little while then gets extremely hot and they shut off. I cant gett a new amp atm but may...

What does this mean ? I did bridge the power from all ports on the back of the speaker, meaning both of the negative terminals are connected as well as the positive. if I undid it to only one each this would fix some of my problems ?
