Never pay attention to MAX power ratings on amps. They don't mean anything. The RMS is the number you want. The type R 10s are rated at 500 watts RMS per sub so to power them properly you would want a 1,000 watt RMS amp. The pioneer GM-D9601 is amazing and will put out 1200 watts at 1 ohm...

First I'll start off by saying the gain is not a volume control. The point of the gain is to match the output of your head unit. Setting the gain correctly requires ether a DMM or a device like a DD1 or an oscilloscope. You can set it by ear but you have to be careful because it's hard to tell...

Just cut off the pieces of wire with solder on them and then make your new connections. If you do crimp use crimp caps or butt connectors and make sure to do a proper crimp. Solder is the best possible connection but crimp connections are acceptable on a radio harness. The biggest issue with...
