Awesome. So set them to 2 volts out and crank the gain till it clups then back an 8th or so? My 3000 just came in so I shouldnt need much gain on that. If anyone needs a barely used 1200 let me know. Lol

Heres what I have. Im running the amp at full range with my old school PPI crossover set at 60 hz. This is in a 2018 Chrysler which means everything is set through the canbus signal. Does anyone know how to Sum the canbus signal to make the amp full range and eliminate the built in crossover?
These old Orions put a huge strain on the electrical system. I just figured for at least 500 more watts and better efficiency I couldnt go wrong. I always figured thatv1 watt is 1 watt regardless of what amp its coming out of. Maybe the orions 700ish watts at 1ohm is actually better than the...
I turn the Gaines all the way down. Turn the stereo up to about 90%, and then slowly turn it up until Im satisfied or I hear distortion. Which there is no distortion in this case. Very clean. Im just wondering about the converter gain because Ive never had to tap off of a factory amp with a...
I was pretty big into audio in the 90s. US amps, PPI, etc. Which explains why I still have my Orions. Ive just been out of it for so long and things have certainly changed quite a bit.
I do understand that. The only issue I jave is that it is at maybe a little less than 3/4 gain which with these sibs shouldnt be pushing them past there limit. When I turn it down to half they are barely being pushed. I should add the amp never even gets warm. I appreciate everyone's feedback.
I have tried that. I would think this amp should push these sibs pretty good. Any lower and there is no point. I have checked all of the usual stuff, ohms, phase, my voltage is a steasy 14.6, 1/0 wire, etc
