    I would not put paint thinner/acetone on the tail light. One time I put acetone on my headlight, and it basically melted some of the plastic and made it look like ***.

    I don't know enough about the sub to tell you, but I do know the Alpine Type R is a bad *** sub for the price man.

    alpine to hifonics?

    I would say so, because I know that Type R should probably handle 750rms+ pretty easy. Hifonics is pretty good from what I have read, it is what I am going with on my next amp.

    Right now I have my line out converter spliced into the rear speaker wires because I am using the factory headunit. I was wandering if I bought an aftermarket head unit with the RCA cables in the back, will the subs sound any louder like that? Thanks!
