OK, so it seems that RF is winning on this, either the 500 or the 800. Going to check out each and see what they sound like. Any info regarding the wiring of the voicecoils?

and the RF800 wouldn't be too much for that single 12w3?

Currently I am powering my 12w3d4 with an RF200S. The JL is rated at 250RMS, and I am pretty sure the amp is running at around 165W. It's all setup in a 4ohm environment. Should I be looking at getting a more powerful amp? Someone told me that I should, since it's dual-voice, power each coil...

Really? I know that it's Pyramid (read: ****) but... it IS a 700watt.... you think that the RF 200 is going to push it harder? Or maybe I should sell it both amps and the pioneer and get.... what size Amp? I prefer clarity over volume.... but just barely ;-) Wintermute
