I think I understand now. The more watts, the louder the sub no matter what ohm it is at. So getting the dvc 4 ohm sub allows me to use the amp to it's full potential of 500 watts by wiring it in parallel. (Brings it to 2 ohms) Had I purchased the 2 ohm dvc sub, I would only be using 300...
