Denim, exactly what is the failure on 1000/1?

What kind of failure does the 1000/1's have? I 'm running one and kinda want to know what the problem is?

A stinger alternator will cost u $700.00 in parts alone & u will need that to run two 1000/1's. Also, what kind of car? To make W7 slam, you will need to built pretty good size enclosure, ported would make them sing... R U prepare to give up your trunk for a pair of W7's?

About your front mids, it's metric & it works out to be about 6" mid, so whoever puts 5 1/4" in has to make a mounting plate, (mine was ABS). Firing thru the trunk takes sh*t loads of watts, you basically trying to defy solid sheet metal trunk on all sides

Jmac is correct... In my 00' 328i, I'm firing thru the ski hole with two 10W6V2 on 1000/1, I'm really not getting much bass into the cabin. The kid down the street with lesser sub/amp is getting louder than me. If you have the winter pkg. with the recline seat back, it might be different...
