While a battery adjusts quicker than an alt, A cap adjusts quicker than a batt. However too quickly to effectively prevent voltage spikes. This is why just as I illustrated above A batt. and a Cap both can end up straining your elec. system more than strengthening it under the right conditions...

...Mainly why I wanted to go 2.66 instead of .66 I know that The JL won't have a difference in distortion from that ohm load. JBL is rated at lower ohm loads but no so sure how the distortion acts vs ohm load.

correct. Most amps aren't .5 ohm stable. Also I'm looking for extremely low distortion levels, I won't say SQ cause I know some idiots on this forum will jump all over that. But far from a pure SPL oriented system.
