c thats how i blew my last amp by having the remote wire just run from my hu to the amp. my car stereo turns on for like 2 or 3 seconds every once and awhile when my car is off for some reason. thats why i installed the kill switch so i know my amp wont turn on. just wish i could have the switch...

yeah i know theres no need for the switch i was just wantin a switch because when i have my nephew in the car his ears are sensative. and i just thought itd be cooler to have an illuminated switch. maybe later i will try and find out a way to have the switch light up.

well hooked up remote to power and acc and light didnt light up. then got a separate wire and did a ground and it lite up. but the the ground wire starting getting red on the switch. so guess i cant have a lighted switch then

ok i will tap into yellow wire that powers my stereo and hook to power. and ground to where my stereo grounds. but what bout my remote wire. it goes from stereo to amp. how would that hook up. since already split would both just hook into the acc part?

well no **** turn the switch to off so lights dont stay on. but i would keep them on for like an hour at a time if driving somewhere. and sometimes have my phone charger or my fuzz buster plugged into the cigarette lighter. so didnt know if that and the lights being on would blow the fuse cuz...

ok ill just tap into the back of my cigarette lighter plug. sounds to be the best bet. especially since if fuse blows can just replace fuse in my fuse box

so just attach power wire to my cigarette lighter an have all positives run into the acc hook up. the have all negatives go to ground then to car frame? or can i tap into my remote wire for power? remote wire probably be easier to tap into

i was planning on either getting the power from my stereo head unit or running a wire from the battery. but didnt know if i could just cut the cigarette plug ins off and hook positive to the scc part of switch and have all the negatives run to the ground. plus some of the light have a little box...
