I have no idea what's used at competitions but if you can't tell the difference between apple lossless and 256k then you can't tell the difference between a CD and 256k, because lossless and a CD are essentially the same thing. The only real way to determine if you can truly tell the difference...

Does it matter that this sub is rated at 600 and my amp can only do 500? I've read different things about underpowering a sub and I really have no clue. Also is there much of a difference between a single 12 and a 10? Thanks.
