That is the exact situation im having. And i though the exact same thing im definatly going to try a line drive bc my gain is 3/4 up to get the required voltage.

it will be loud at a set volume then say a dynamic part of the song comes or just like 30 seconds into the song it goes flat

ok just installed this set in my new mercades with the tweeter close to the woofer like CDT suggests and still have the same problem

ok so stupid me, i had a bad test tone....sumhow so im getting 2.7v at 50hz on the SW pre-outs at full volume with sw level at +15 and 2.8v at 1khz on the fron pre-outs at full volume sound right?

ok so i tried to take all the guess work out of it....brought the deck inside hooked it up to a 12v computer power supply and STILL only get .1V everytime the track plays

i think its the ground then bc stupid me just used the screw that holds the HU in for the ground possible? where should i put the probes for testing the resistance

ok i just bought a brand new ALPINE IDAX305 and i have the same problem?

yeap its a 0db and i have my sub level all the way up n volume all the way up are my RCA's shot?

i took a reading with both rca out and put the dmm right up to the RCA jacks on the HU and took a reading from the ends of the RCAs with them plugged in

this died quickly

dmm with posite probe on the inner part of the RCA with the neg probe on the outer edge testing AC voltage COuld this be a ground problem?

Hi, im having a problem with my RCA's My front and rear are reading only .2 volts AC at 1khz test tone And my sub pre-out is only reading .6 volts AC at 60hz test tone The deck is a Alpine DVA-9861 My old system 2 12" kickers with a vibe amp and a sundown 100.2 pushing cdt comps worked fine...

2 12" kicker cvr's powered by a lanzar vibe 600w rms and a Sundown 100.2 power my CDT CL-61i comps
